| How can the elections ever be called a secret ballot when you are given a voting slip corresponding to your name on the electoral roll and a number is written on the back of it which I presume is your number on the electoral roll.

| I've noticed this also Margot.
It doesn't really bother me but I can understand people objecting to it because, as you say, it clearly means your vote can be identified.
Mind you, there is nobody even worth a vote - now that's a big problem for us all.

| It does bother me though Rog, purely on the ethos that it should never be.
Yes I feel the same on who to vote for except for the green party and I feel it is rather a waste of a vote.
Maybe we should un-invent Elections and have them reversed to who you would not vote for. THen maybe the minority party would stand a chance.
